She is a lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in crime law and legal medicine. 

In 2008, she got her baccalaureate in law at the University of Costa Rica. One year later, she obtained her law degree with an emphasis in legal medicine with honors at the same institution. In 2012, she got a specialty in notary and registry law at the Universidad Fidelitas, getting the best record and promotion of the year.

After getting the specialty in notary and registry law, she got a Master Degree in Crime Law at the University of Costa Rica. Actually, she is coursing another Master Degree in Crime Procedure at the University of Barcelona, in Spain. 

She has also made courses of high importance, such as: Introduction at Crime Law, (2022, Argentina and Spain), Risk Analysis (2021, Argentina and Spain), Corporative Defenses (Argentina and Spain) and a Specialization in Legal Medicine (2008-2009 at University of Costa Rica). 

She worked at the Defense of Mala Praxis of Doctor Carlos Tifee Sotomayor (2008-2012). Also in 2009 -2011, she was an attorney at the Bufete Gatgens y Asociados. After that, she was the adviser of the College of Therapists of Costa Rica (2015-2019). Since 2019, she has been working as the director of legal adviser of Qualitas Compañia y Seguros. 

In 2023, she joined Signaturelex as senior associate.

Additionally she possess experience at the area of teaching, working as professor at the University of Costa Rica (2017- now) and at the American University, Grupo Laureate( 2013-2015).

She speaks Spanish and English.
